Staff were very kind and friendly. The Consultant kept me well informed throughout the procedure.
Oncologist Dr Christos Nikolaou was very thorough, informative and helpful. All questions were answered and he made me feel at ease with the process and what to look forward to.
I am confident that he would take good care of me.
Waited 14hrs to be seen by a doctor! Then another 7hrs to complete tests. Total of 21hrs without possibility to lay down, been told how long it will take, nobody asked if hungry nor provided food, arrogant nurses. One doctor for tens of patients. If this is the NHS you are so proud of then you should be ashamed. Appalling.
Absolutely horrendous - 16 hours in eSDEC - 79 years old sitting on an uncomfortable chair! A more comfy chair after 11 hours which still couldnt be called comfortable! no medication was given - asked for paracetomol 3 times before getting given any. Bloods were taken then when the result was back an ECG was said to be needed - didnt go presenting with chest pain - and wasnt advised why an ECG was needed. Another blood test was done 10 hours later ti see if the ECG was still needed.. The ECG was done anyway an hour or so after that blood test. 5 hours later still no results, noone seemed to know why and then were told we could go home and the results would be sent to mums GP. Still no idea what was wrong with her and 16 hours wasted - She takes regular medication but noone asked her what so she didnt get the neds until i went home and got them - after the paramedics saying we didnt need to take them with us as would all be got from mums records and she would be given them at the hospital! The whole experience was horrible, to see old age people on trolleys alone in the corridors was heartbreaking. Queens needs someone to step in and dort it out - no wonder people are dying! We wasnt kept updated with any information at all.
Nursing staff excellent without exception.Doctors from Consultant down very informative with excellent bedside manner
Being moved around the A&E departments is frustrating and waiting so long that the staff change and Dr’s have different opinions and plans.
I had attended for the second time in a week, yet the dr refused to look at medication I was given on the previous attendance as he “didn’t have time”! Bloods were lost, it was not reassuring in doing things efficiently
Spent over 30 hours in a+e, at times, the communication was good but other times it was patchy. I.e. After being told I'd had a heart attack and would need a cardiac monitor, I was left in a chair for hours without it being set up. When I asked a nurse. I was made to feel I shouldn't have asked. Also told I was moving to a ward and they a ere looking for a chair- then just nothing for a long time.
I was treated with great care in an efficient professional way. Thank you.
Spending over 12 hours in hospital for a routine blood test with rude and unprofessional staff can’t be right
The staff from the ambulance crew to the emergency department were everything you wanted. After all the bad publicity everywhere I have nothing but good things to say.
